Back from Britain

This morning grandma returned home from her seven week adventure through England and Canada. It would appear she got back just in time too, with all the recent developments in London. Luckily her travels out of England saw her leave through Birmingham, but just a few hours after she left, the city was evacuated due to terrorist threats.

She had a lot of fun and certainly has plenty of stories to tell. It was interesting to hear that one of her relatives is researching the family tree which will help me with my endeavours to track down that half of the family. I even got a few gifts, some aftershave, clothes and a frisbee. I’m not too sure why someone would buy me a frisbee, Ed got one too - maybe they underestimated our ages. I’ve been trying to teach grandma how to use the TV, since I rewired the whole thing with a Media Center PC and FOXTEL Digital. She seemed more interested in the darkness of the picture than the fact that she has 100 odd channels and her command.

In any case, it’s good to have her home safely. At least I wont need to keep cooking every night anymore, although I did lend a hand tonight.
