Restful weekend

After another busy week, it was good to have some time to sit and do pretty much nothing. Today I caught up with friends and relatives and even found time to fit in a DVD. It’s a change from the rest of the week where I’ve found myself at work in one form or another. Things are moving along steadily and with Cerberus up and running again, it’s keeping us all on track with the sheer workload that is flooding in every day. I even found myself working on Australia Day (although I did officially have the day off). Australia Day is a wierd holiday really. We all understand where it comes from, but is it really something worth celebrating. It’s like birthdays really, they are kinda pointless.

This weekend also saw the start of the new summer sport season. Once again, I’m at the helm of the senior swimming team with John, Andy and Wayne. It’s something different to do, but it certainly does take up a large chunk of my valuable spare time. At least it brings more money my way, which is certainly something I need to keep on top of. Never knowing where I’m heading, I always save as much money as possible for a rainy day. And that day might be coming ever closer if I decide to move out with Sophie. It all depends how the numbers come out. :) Damn uni, it seems to be a bottomless pit to suck away every spare dollar the average student manages to earn.

I think Americans have that effect on the world in general. :)

See, I have money once, then I lived in the USA for a month and it kind of leeched me dry!
